2*C in Krakow - and it's the middle of the day...

The train click-clacked between Warsaw and Krakow and for three hours all the scenery was blanketed in snow. Trees, still green and turning yellow, are weighed down with clumps of snow. With the day time temperature not getting over 2*, snow continues to hide in corners out of the wind and on the lee side of  rail cuttings. The weather forcast is for continuing temperatures under 3* although they are promising sunshine by the weekend. Mmm... we'll see. Wearing all my layers now and pleased to have my warm scarf (thanks Mum).

My logic is to go to the Salt Mine tomorrow. Won't get any colder underground than above and at least I'll be out of the wind and rain. I've a ticket to the Krakow Philharmonic Orchestra tomorrow evening. Unfortunately they are not playing Chopin, but Mozart is a good alternative. 30Zl - that's about $12 for alive performance by one of Poland's best orchestras. Bargain!
