Food... but not dining

First funny thing. Had a laugh at breakfast - free toast and jam at the Hostel. Went to open a new sliced loaf and they had sliced a barcode sticker on the bread (which was inside a plastic bag, so why there was a barcode sticker anyway...)

The barcode is on the inside of the bag and sliced with the bread

Dinner tonight I had at a Polish chain restaurant. Huge meal... actually quite Italian in style. Fresh bread and dip to start. Not sure but I think the dips were sour cream (easy) and walnuts in dripping - yep you got it. One taste was enough for me, but dad would have loved it :) Main was veal in white wine, cream and mushrooms with potato dumplings. Very nice but very rich. Washed down with a local beer. Want to try the cabbage wrapped meats with potatoes... maybe next time... with beer cost AUD$20

Garlic must be a staple along with Vodka. It's in everything and even my dorm room stinks of garlic (I'm sharing with three local Polish girls). Oh well, now I won't notice so much as I've joined them...
